As Promised ~

Okeedokee....

so here is what the little hooked mat,
denim fabric and polkadot fabric turned into this afternoon...
a sweet messenger bag!

my old cage dress-form displays the new bag ~

I machine sewed the denim to the linen edges of the rug,
...then handstitched on the tortoise-shell rings for the strap...

love those polkadots!

...the strap is also made from the denim,
and I added a magnetic closure to the top/inside of the purse...

I can smell the lavender already ~ soon it will be here!!

and as an added touch,
I made sure the pocket of the old bluejeans were put to good use...
...now I won't lose my cellphone down the bottom of the bag!

nice touch!

Oh!
I just realized this little bag
is thee perfect size to carry my tablet in too!
ha!! ...electonics on the go!

old meets new = love!

I think I'll design a couple different versions of this style purse to hook...
and, perhaps I'll offer them as patterns for you all to make one for yourselves too ~

...any suggestions or comments?

~ have a beautiful evening ~
