~ Colors of Summer ~

Good Morning Friends & Folk ~
and happy Wednesday to us all....

I missed the Full Buck Moon last night, due to clouds,
{But I am hoping to catch a glimpse tonight!}

Our gardens are thriving in all of this sun, heat and almost-daily rain....
weeds and plantings happily co-exist akin to one another,
feeding us, the bees, the birds.

the Summer inspires my needlework, shapes, patterns
and especially the colors!

the bone-white of the Queen Anne's Lace, with her droplet of 'blood' in the center
has always fascinated me from a very young age ~ I'm so happy they are in my gardens!

one of our Ameracauna hens, has feathers of rust, black & brown ~
reminding me that bright colors aren't always the prettiest ;)

...the deep yellow of my beloved Black Eyes Susan's
remind me of Sun & Shadows.
They keep me company on my patio on sunny stitching days ~

Sturdy & squat French Marigolds,
with their boisterous orange and yellow ruffled petals ~ that orange is a staple in my color palette
from Summer up until my Winter designing!

my humble attempts at Granny Square making
even includes the colors of the sky, dark woods and sun.

....yet this one reminds me of Candy Corn!

...the drying wilds that I use for my basket making offer me subtle color variations
of DMC Thread 610, 611 & 612
{LOL}
these are actually dried daffodil leaves!

~ thread colors to brighten your day!

What colors inspire you?
Where is your favorite place to stitch in the Summer?

 Hoping you all have a Peaceful day
filled with color and creativity!
 ðŸŒžðŸŒ»ðŸŒžðŸŒ»ðŸŒžðŸŒ»ðŸŒžðŸŒ»

Blessings from the Farm
