So sorry Lori, Peter and Hannah...hugs to you all. What beautiful pictures and what a heartfelt post.
ReplyDeleteLorie and Peter: so very sorry for your loss. There is very little that can compare to the vulnerability, dependency, and trust that our pets bestow on us. And when they leave us the loss is sharp and piercing. What a good dog Lazy has been- it was an honour to have known him, if only thru your blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful eulogy for your precious friend. I know what it means to lose a beloved dog. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
ReplyDeleteOh how terribly sad. But a life well-lived. Like you, I know our animals friends wait for us to join them someday.......
ReplyDeleteOh Lori,
ReplyDeleteMy heart is aching for you and your family, including the non-human ones. It's just so hard to give up your pets even though they are in a better place. Wish I could give you a hug right now.

ReplyDeleteLori...so sorry for your loss. Our fur babies hold such a special place in our hearts.
ReplyDeleteWe lost our Golden girl last November, two months after her cancer diagnosis. I had a long time to say good-bye, that helped. Now our border Collie is 15 and I'm thankful for everyday. I've seen your animal friends so many times in posts that I feel I am grieving for Lazy and Buddy too. Thank you for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteYour tribute to dear Lazy was so touching. I lost my dear fuzzy boy a little over a year ago and the only consolation is that I know he is with those who went before him and that he and the others will be waiting for me. Thank you for the loving reminder.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry Lori. The world always seems so much less sweet when our gentle friends pass.
