July/Aug/Sept ~ LSHC Model FINISHED!

Here is the July/August September 2014
Little Stitches Handwork Club model all finished up!

"Patriotic Fan Pinkeep"

© 2014 L. Brechlin for Notforgotten Farm/LSHC

I wanted to do something a little different,
...but useful for this quarter's club project ~
I love how it turned out ~
what do you think??

back is covered in red plaid wool

the model is stitched onto my 30ct hand dyed Old Farmhouse Linen
using 1 strand of floss over 2 threads of linen (15ct)

the finished size of this project measures approx:
6-3/4" x 5-1/4"

I added new & old white headed pins along the top of the fan's edge…
some larger than others ;)

I also added a little thread ring to the bottom
...and tied on a scrap of old ribbon ~

"...i can hold your pins & threads too!"

~ the flag/heart represents our love for our country
~ the vines represent longevity
~ the berries represent abundance
~ and the crown represents freedom of religion

sew sweet

Oh, and it also serves the purpose of actually being used as a little fan ~
you know,
when those 'power surges' (hot flashes) strike!!!
lol

simple, needful thing ~
So, the kits are being put-together ~
and each kit will include:

*paper pattern/graph/chart
*size cut of 30ct linen needed for project
*backing wool
*all threads to finish project
*thread ring
*12" length of ribbon

kit does NOT include:
pins
