Well the answer to the riddle is a thimble. But the shape reminds me of a pocket -- the kind that womenfolk used to wear under their aprons.
ReplyDeleteSmall pocket/purses for your dolls, I love them, sweet!!!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking it might be a little scissor pouch or thimble holder, but the riddle sounds more like a bee skep...

ReplyDeleteI think it's a thimble pouch worn around the neck.
ReplyDeleteThimble, thimble keep, thimble pouch, thimble pocket, and still no correct answer! "All of these put together"... multiple thimble keeps on a pincushion?? LOL!!What's that called??
ReplyDeleteCould it be a chatelaine?
ReplyDeleteWell, it reminds me of those soft leather thimbles that fit over the finger. If you combine it with a button from the card on one side the button could be used as a hard center at which to push on the needle to pearce it through the item your sewing on. The flesh is the finger placed in the barrel opening and it is a live beause it is competing a task.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I'm tired and it is only a guess.
Also looks like the little vase bag that your Permelia Doll was holding on your selling sight.
ReplyDeletemmmmmm I think may be it is a thumb/ finger protector that is made into a chatelaine for around the neck so you don't lose it ... the tape is for the chatelaine bit and the thread is used to sew it on and the buttons too :)
ReplyDeletejust a stab in the dark ...lol love mouse
who is also intrigued as to what the proper answer may be :)
It's a needle punched pocket for your tiny little bears to wear.
ReplyDeleteI was thinking so hard, but darn I sure could not come up with the answer. Thimble!? Sheesh. Good job confounding me. Karmen
