A Visit to my Sewing Room ~

Good Sunday Morning
~ Friends & Folk ~

My sewing room is finished, so come for a visit with me, won't you?

Sewing Corner

…a different view

pretty arrangement of some of my favorite things...

tiny white cupboard holds my antique ribbon store display box...

This is a view from the top of the stairs,
~ turned back & looking into the room…

Yay!

another view of office area...

beautiful cherry wood shelf that Peter made me ~ from our woods ~ brackets are from Joan :)

'arial' view of office area with sewing corner in the back...

found this Owl Lamp at Walmart too ~ L O V E

view of the hooking corner of this room,
...as seen from sewing corner!

comfy chair, antique sewing table and my hooking baskets

this is where I hook and punch….

my happy place :)

love my shelves :)

Remember I mentioned that I was going to put Mom's curtains at the bottom of the windows and perhaps make some valances from red fabric?
nope…I like this view much better ~

grapevine at the window-top

perfect.

lets the sunlight in and nods to my love of Nature...

~ organized my antique thread spools in my early Coats store display ~

using a vintage mirror under my keyboard/pad reflects even more light

(BELOW)
This is a beautifully crafted rug hook that I'm using at the moment ~
it is hand turned acrylic/wood in my favorite color ~ plus it has a little extra bling on the end of the handle ~ a large violet crystal that catches the light when I hook!
it's like a magic wand LOL!!

my absolute favorite color ~ any shade of lavender!

Thanks for your visit today ~
Hope you enjoyed my photos …

* Blessed be *

  1. Very inspiring, Lori. Need to make myself a cozy nook instead of spreading my stuff all over the house! I have a lovely studio space downstairs in the cellar....but it's in the cellar!! But maybe if I put an upholstered chair down there so I could get really comfy, I'd be more apt to stay there.

Did I miss your total bathroom reveal? I've seen bits and pieces but not the finished shots. I'm loving it so far!!

  27. Well I just love it all! I need a gigantic safety pin, to use as a curtain rod. Speaking of curtains, I like your use of burlap curtains with clothespins, the grapevines in the window and all the nooks and crannies filled with delightful thingies. Who wouldn't love to sit in that ever so cozy chair and lose ones self in their needlework. Bravo for a job well done! Oh, and the rug is great!
