Color my World ~

We are awaiting the storm.

15 inches of snow is expected
here in our part of Virginia
between this afternoon & tomorrow ~

oh joy.

I am passing my time by dabbling in my paintboxes.
I organized my brushes, sketchbooks, pencils & pens.
I organized my desk and some junk drawers.
I am nesting big-time….

playing with paints let my textile-weary brain & hands rest a bit.
painting relaxes me
~ soothes me
and
nourishes me…

if I can't garden at the moment outside,
then I'll garden in my sketchbooks…

...tulips, flowers, birds ~
daisy chains and vines….
oh. and words.
words always creep their way in to my sketchbooks.

one word could start a whole plethora of ideas and
jump start my creativity.

I am working on new prints, postcards, note/greeting cards and invitations for Zazzle ~

I am even working on a new line of fabric for my Spoonflower shop
(see both links to those sites on my 'links' list to your right)

...this kind of thing then leads to new ideas for punch needle and cross stitch you know.

~ it's all relative in my world :)

Hoping you are all snug & safe in your warm humble homes!
