my color wheel ~

the colors in my color wheel may not be the same as yours....
they are not bright primary colors ~ in fact I can't even name what color they are sometimes...
so I make up my own ~
like:

"not-quite blue"
"corn bread"
&
"cheddar"

i can't help myself ~ I. am. addicted.

"chimney-pipe"
"birch bark"

can we ever have too much? um.....no.

"fresh egg"
"graveyard dirt"
and
"october sky"

this time of the year especially, when I am in the throes of creative endeavors, preparing for shows and simply just wanting to relax & decorate this old farmhouse...these colors are my therapy.

and of course it's not just fabric that occupies my mind, but trims too...
like this humongous olive-khaki -colored rick-rack from Moda that I had to have.
(what will she do with that, they ask?...no idea, she replies, but I had to have it)
those are folded fat 1/4's the rick-rack is laying on...& those scissors are approx. 4" long, so you can now see just how huge this trim is!!!

I actually do have plans for the trim and the fabric...
~ and oh my, will you ever be surprised!
I have to be good and not 'share' everything with you right now,
but
I promise there are some exciting things on the horizon for all of us!

Blessings from the farm,
Lori

  5. I especially like the yellow/golden/cheddars. They make things pop a little. Are you picky about seeing the fabric colors in person before buying? Do you ever trust your computer monitor to pick fabric colors?
