~ A Picture Walk ~

Happy Tuesday
~ Friends & Folk ~

I was up with the roosters this morning...
the sun came slyly into our bedroom and begged me to get out of bed and see the day!

so I grabbed my camera and headed out for my morning walk ~
here are a few snaps of our flora & fauna here at the farm....

Our iris are beautiful again this year!

my little pincushion plant is very happy in the morning sunshine ~

here are our Lady's Slippers growing at the edge of our woods line...
 some are sprouting,

and some are blooming.

I love the way the dew and sun is showing on the spiderweb and field weed below...

my lily of the valley.....
~ can you smell them?

Peter loves his Italian meals,
so we always have plenty of fresh oregano...

the wild grapevine at our front gate to the shop is filling in
with shiny leaves and tiny clusters of newborn grapes
that our resident bird-friends love to snack on...

and the wisteria is showing off her petaled dress in vibrant shades of purple ~

finally,
my bleeding heart is blooming...
perhaps my little garden angel coaxed her into showing her sweet face?

and now I am back to the farmhouse,
with a cup of hot tea and my stitching in hand...

Hoping your day will be filled with small, beautiful moments
and abundant creativity!

Blessings from the Farm
 ~ Lori

I truly enjoyed this morning's stroll around Notforgotten Farm Gardens! Such a lovely variation of blooms and blossoms! Your garden art is beautiful, as well...

What is that you are stitching next to the beehive? Could it bee the mistress of the hive?

Love all of your beautiful flowers! We are several weeks behind you with more sprouts than flowers. I am coveting that design that you are stitching! Hope that it will be released soon :)
Blessings, Patti

I love your garden! We are traveling north the next two weeks and will be coming home through Virginia and would like to stop by your shop, but noticed you are only open on Saturdays. Do you ever open for a little bit during the week for travelers?

Oh how I love the flowers! The iris and lily of the valley take me back to my grandparents' house and my pappy had a small field of the iris..so beautiful! The patch of lily of the valley grew in the shady area on the side of their home. They also had a rock garden in the back of the house. Whenever I would visit, I would be outside for hours..such memories!
