~ Punching in the Rain ~

Oh where is that beautiful warm May sunshine?
why has it been hiding from us for so long…
I am a lover of rain, rainy days & the coziness it brings
~ but this has been a crazy couple of weeks!

oh well,
the sun'll come out tomorrow…

in the meantime…
my needle punching mimics the sound of the raindrops on our old farmhouse tin roof.

plop plop plop
punch punch punch

Working on 'Ralph' has been fun ~
my little patriotic dog-friend is coming to life
loop by loop.

Peter & I are putting together more video tutorials of my punch needle techniques
for our Youtube Channel:

I'll be posting them to our channel soon,
hopefully by the weekend ~

this design, {'Ralph'}
will be getting a different finish on the edges
that I think you'll all enjoy learning how to do.

here is the back of my work in progress…
so you can see I'm not a neat-freak.
I clip my ends as I go, but if there are a few stragglers then so be it.

the background is nearly complete now
and shouldn't take me much longer to finish today :)

the pattern for Ralph will be available soon ~

well, I think I'll have another cup of tea
~ and go dance for a bit in the raindrops!

We had rain and hail last night. Daughter's electricity went out all night so she loaded up the littluns and they all came and stayed with us. So sweet to be able to tell the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears to the three-year-old, while the two-year-old dreamt beautiful dreams. Repeat after me: Rain is good. Yes, it is. ;) Love Ralph; such a Patriotic Canine! Have a great day, Lori!

Patriotic Ralph is dear!! As the Beatles say....."I need to laugh, and when the sun is out, I've got something I can laugh about!" I'm desperate to get my garden planted. I just finished hooking a hummingbird pillow for a commission for a friend. I'll post pictures on Facebook as soon as it's gifted .
I taught another friend how to hook over the weekend!!
