Good Things ~

Good Morning Friends & Folk!

another beautiful October day ahead ~ chilly this morning!
needed to light the wood stove to take the chill out of this old farmhouse…
I love being wakened to the smell of tangy woodsmoke & Peter's freshly brewed coffee :)

Yesterday, we had the absolute pleasure of being visited by our local News team ~
www.WSET.com
They came out to do an interview with us,
 regarding Notforgotten Farm being a finalist in the Martha Stewart American Made Contest!
{you can click on the link above to see our video interview}

We enjoyed showing them around,
demonstrating for them what we do and sharing it all with the viewers ~
 the Video Journalist, Katie Brooke and her Videographer Dan did a wonderful job
of making us feel comfortable ~ they seemed to enjoy it as much as we did!

Upon their departure, we gifted them with some of Indy's {our boy-peacock} beautiful tail feathers!

Iggy was not happy that he didn't make the interview cut ~
so he has decided to punish us
by knocking everything off of every counter & tabletop surface in this farmhouse.

While waiting for the interview segment to come on TV last evening,
I was stitching the last few x's on the upcoming LSHC kit project
{yes I know I'm waaaay behind ~ please forgive!}
I thought I would have it finished much sooner, but am almost done now.
EXCEPT that I was so nervous waiting to see Peter & I on TV, that I miss-stitched a whole motif and a few letters, so I had to FROG it all back out! Grrrrrrr.
{thank the stars the interview went better than my stitching did!}

I will begin shipping the OCT/NOV/DEC
Little Stitches Handwork Club members kits' out beginning next week…
if you'd like to JOIN or RENEW the LSHC ~

Thank you my sweet friends ~
it means the world to Peter & I to know that we have such support from you….

Oh, Lori and Peter, what a wonderful interview! This is just so exciting! I especially loved your comment about women today not gathering for handwork much any more…so glad that people like you are helping to bring back the beauty and fellowship of handmade. Tell Iggy he's still a star in my book. :)

The video was wonderful. Someday I hope to visit your shop but am so far away. I have been voting every day. Know that handwork is alive and well in my small town as we have 2 groups that meet once a week and include hand sewing, applique stitching, knitting, cross stitch, embroidery and the lone rug hooker--me.

Poor Iggy, his feelings must have been hurt. He's so lovely I can't imagine why his footage was cut!
