A Million Loops ~

Punching & Hooking
~ millions of loops being made from thread & wool…

working on finished goods for the upcoming From OUr Hands Show
on November 13th & 14th ~

here are a few punches-in-progress using my favorite Valdani pearl cotton colors:

...the subtle color ways and different variations of the same hue make me happy
along with that nubbly texture!

I'm loving the way this tree of life is coming along…
twisted & gnarled like the old trees here in our woods ~

and in-between those loops, I've been working on these loops
on my challenge rug for this:

...a little more progress on the house

my rug is no where near as big as some of the other girls' rugs ~
~ but that's ok, since I'm only hooking along for fun ~

and it IS fun seeing everyones interpretations of the same motifs…
each participant has come up with their own unique design & color planning.

a nice way to come together is by holding a friendly challenge like this.
it helps folks who are new to hooking/designing get out of their comfort zone a bit
and I think our more 'experienced' hookers are enjoying it as well :)
{and yes, I mean RUG hookers!}

well it seems like the rain has passed finally ~
the winds are still here though, and blow sharply through our farmyard like a knife at times…

I thought I would take a few snaps of the sun,
in case it decided to vacation again and we forget what it looks like!

Oh, I love that tree, too!! I'm a faithful voter for Notforgotten Farm…and it is close! I need to learn something new, Lori. Maybe punch needle?

Good to see somebody has some sunshine! If you could send some down to Eastern Carolina it would be greatly appreciated!
We're still having rain today and a little wind.
