Wednesday Ramblings ~

~ Good Morning Friends & Folk ~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
spent another night here in my hospital room,
and looks like another day as well...
...I was scheduled to have another CT scan today,
 but now we're not so sure if that will happen.
Oh Well,
since I can't actually get outside to take my walks,
I've been taking my walks in the hallways.
but in my mind,
I am
H O M E
Thank the Stars
that I have photos here in my laptop to look at of my beloved farm & such
~ or I would surely go 'round the bed, so-to-speak.
here are a few favorite pics
from my Picasa Web albums for you to enjoy with me ~
an ancient, leaning saltbox-style house that is in my hometown of Stratford, CT. this house is ca. 1600's ~
{now I want to paint my farmhouse like this!}
i love walking through old cemeteries
and seeing the beautiful headstone carvings & unique names of the folks resting there.
pretty soon I'll have my walking shoes on again,
and get to enjoy the fresh air, sounds & smell of my farm, fields and surrounding woods.
~ I miss it so ~
Lori - I hope you are better soon and back home on your lovely farm. It is no fun being in the hospital except usually when you are there, that's the place you need to be. Hope you are better soon!
Sending happy thoughts and positive vibes and prayers to you!! Even the deluxe atmosphere of the hospital can't keep you down. You'll be stitchin' backless hospital gowns, soon :-))
Your pictures are beautiful but it'll be so much nicer when you're home at the farm. You must miss the smells as much as the snuggles from your beloved critters! Much love to you!!!!
Hope you can go home soon and you get good news from all those tests. No place like home to get better.😃
Lori, hope you are feeling better and better and yes, home is a hug! Your little kitty doesn't look like he wants his picture taken. He's probably thinking "where's the food?" Love your sewing room! Connie
I hope you are well and taking that walk at home soon. Rumor has it that all of your fur and feathered friends as well as the little nature folks are sending you healing energy to speed your recovery. They are saving all their hugs and smiles to greet you with. Be well and be home soon.
You are so good at keeping your perspective, Lori. This is only a temporary bump in the road and you'll soon be back at your beloved farm. It's very smart to have those photos to remind you of the good life you enjoy. Keep your chin up and get well soon!
Bless your heart Lori... You are a real trooper. My daughter was hospitalized with the same problem for 5 days earlier this year. The day she was released there was a rainbow in the sky... very unusual as we live in the Mojave Desert.
Get well soon, your farm is calling for you.
Peace and Blessings to all,
Barb
I hope you are doing well!!
I loved your pictures...my Grandparents home in Suffield, Conn., was built in 1711. It was fun seeing your picture which reminded me of their home! My Dad and I spent one entire summer releasing and cleaning the Indian shutters in that house. At the end of the summer the building was a true fortress!
Blessings to you,
J
Your outlook of the temporary imprisonment and being awakened to take a sleeping pill resonates with me and empathize with you. Luckily you do have your laptop to look at beautiful pictures, have your needlework to keep your fingers and mind busy. And I am quite sure your loving husband Peter has been there to comfort you and bring you whatever tools and threads you need.
Looking forward to reading that you are back home. Hugs.
Looking forward, as I know you are, to the day when you'll be back at "Not forgotten farm" with Minew and Iggy and everyone and everything else that you love.
I'm so sorry that you've had to pay this visit to the hospital. I hope everything will turn out in your favor.
Keep your chin up.........I know it's hard to do.
Blessings,
Charlotte in Manassas
