Home Stretch ~

Hello Friends & Folk
….& Hello Friday!

I have two of the designs in my
Farm Chores series done ~

"Laundry Day" on the left
& "Keeping the Bees" on the right…

...at the moment I'm almost finished with the 3rd one,
called "Dipping Candles"
below….

and I already have the design for the 4th,
 called "Shelling Peas" drawn onto weavers and ready to punch…..
BUT
my poor hand is killing me,
{carpal tunnel & arthritis}.

 so I have to switch my gears a bit ~

to give my hand a break,
I'll be….Hooking!

then back to finishing the last punch :)
I am going to finish these into a wall hanging ~
...using some fabric I've been hoarding saving.

I think you'll be well-pleased.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh! before I forget…
our 32ct & 30ct Ironstone linen
 is out-of-stock at the moment…
I have the base-linen ordered
...and am keeping my fingers crossed that it gets here in time
for me to hand dye & bring with me to the
PSS RETREAT at the end of this month ~
I will not be a happy camper if it does not get here……..
….{and you want me to be a happy camper…just saying'}
On another note, for all you
Little Stitches Handwork Club members,
{LSHC}
your kits should be arriving today!
YAY!
they all went out earlier this week….
3 huge postal boxes chock-full of manilla envelopes
heading to stitchers all over the country & abroad!
THANK YOU for making this club a fun one for me ~
I love being able to come up with different designs & finishes each quarter :)
It's raining again,
and because of that, I'm not opening the shop today.
instead I'll keep myself busy in the farmhouse with my needlework…
BUT
we WILL BE OPEN Tomorrow
Saturday April 11th
10 - 3
so come on out & bring your needlework-in-progress….
come hook, punch or stitch with us!
Oh Lori, I know your hand pain. The last few days with the dampness and change in weather my hands have been painful too. Matter of fact, in bed perfectly still had shooting pains in one of my feet.
I find hooking with the ball handle is good for me vs. the pencil type hooks. And, hand stitching my binding on the rugs hurts the most. Hopefully we'll get warm weather more suitable to our arthritis.
Every time I visit your blog I say aloud, I wish I lived back East again so I could visit with you at your shop. Thank you for such wonderful posts.
Happy beautiful stitches m'dear!
Please rest your hands, we are no good when they ache . . . a little massage is a good thing!
