Spring Thyme Blog Hop Day 10 ~ My Turn to play!

Hello!
FINALLY I am able to post this ~
as you might know I am in CT visiting family,
and I had scheduled a post to go live, ahead of time, but apparently it never did ~
I think blogger is having scheduling issues, but whatever...

here is my late post for you!

Hello Friends & Folk!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
welcome to day 10 of Buttermilk Basin's
Spring Thyme Blog Hop
and today is my day to share with you :)
My two favorite seasons are Spring & Autumn....
~ but all 4 seasons here in Virginia are just beautiful~
Since we still have lots of mud and some snow here today
so I rummaged through a few of my photographs from last year.....
here is our humble Homeplace
with a view from our farmshop herb garden ~
Springtime means lots of new friends here at the farm...
like sweet baby chicks with very attentive Mommas ~
of course it means my tulips & other bulbs bloom
like these grape hyacinth too...
and what spring would be complete without a kitten or two?
we love our kittens so much!
here is the project that I've designed for you ~
'Spring Time'
just a simple look with lots of possibilities...
I stitched this using DMC threads ~
all stems ~ 3011 ~ straight stitch
all leaves ~ 832 ~ satin & lazy daisy stitch
bird ~ 647 ~ satin stitch
bird's belly ~ 3064 ~ satin stitch
lettering, bird legs & berries ~ 610 ~ back stitch & french knot
IF you decide you don't want to stitch this,
you have my permission to punch, hook or appliqué it too :)
I would love to see photos of your finished creation so send me your photos to my email
and I will share them here on my blog!
and here is my recipe!
I love my cookies!!!!
this one calls for dried or fresh lavender buds ~
....they have a peppery-sweet flavor, and I think you'll love them too
plus
they're so pretty!!
I hope you have enjoyed your visit, and my offerings today ~
....my thanks to Stacy for hosting this blog hop for us!!!
make sure to continue to hop-along with us tomorrow too!
~ Blessings from the Farm ~
Love your pattern but can't download it because there is no link and don't want to print out many pages of your blogs.
Lori your design is so sweet, I'm undecided how I will create it, thinking punchneedle. Your cookies sound refreshing, I have not had a cookie with lavender before but will want to make these. Thank you again.
