Day 12 of the Blog Hop & some Winter Evening Stitching ~

Happy Friday to you!
today marks the 12th day on the
Buttermilk Basin Handmade Christmas Blog Hop!

today's designer doesn't have a blog, but she has a Facebook page
where you can visit daily & read all about her designing & such ~

I love her style!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's been lovely getting back into my cross stitching ~
{{you all know by now how I tend to flit from one medium to the other}}
but the peaceful, quiet & repetitious act of simply pulling thread through linen is my favorite.
(ok, ya got me…everything I do if my 'favorite')
;)
I love to sit in my cozy stitching spots
and watch a movie, or listen to Christmas music lately…
and stitch away ~
the tin-type photo shown in my pictures
...shows a woman holding her needlework in her lap!
when I first found this tin-type on my travels,
I though she was holding a dishrag ~ but upon closer inspection under my mag-light,
it is indeed needlework of some-sort ~
THAT makes me so very happy & I'll treasure this photo forever…
in fact, it resides tucked into my sewing basket and travels with me wherever I go, and since it's tin it holds my little Swallow magnetic needle minder I made from a mother of pearl button!
~ useful and pretty ~
and I wanted to say a big, heartfelt
THANK YOU
to everyone for your positive thoughts & well wishes for the return of our beloved little Tig
who has now come home
YAY!!!!!!
{he is being loved on by everyone today, and seems a bit bewildered ~ but no worse for the wear}
…Tig went missing for three days which set our farmyard into a tizzy.
but now he's home again safe & sound.
and
N E V E R
ever going outside again!
welcome home handsome
The Farm Shop is open today & tomorrow
10 - 3
come on in and warm up by the wood stove
& see all of our new goods for the Yuletide/Winter Season ~
Don;t forget to bring your handwork with you and visit for a while :)
* Blessed be *
Very happy that Tig is home! I can't blame you for never letting him out again. Maybe then he will grow out of his wandering nature. One day I intend to drive north so maybe I can meet Tig in person and visit your wonderful shop!
I am so happy and relieved to hear that little Tig is home...God bless his sweet little heart! Answered prayer!
lori, I love the oval squarish hoop in your pictures. I have a very similiar hoop. Is the fabric wound around it to help to keep it stay tight? I always enjoy your blog!
