Punching Donkeys ~

Yes.
I am punching donkeys…
and sheep, cats, peacocks…
No.
...not literally, physically punching them ~
I would never hurt them or inflict any pain intentionally on any of my friends…

but
I am figuratively punching them.
with thread!

right now, this handsome fellow graces my frame:

h e l l o

 he will be finished today,
...then I will start punching more.

frame cover was made by my sister Sharon from a design by Ronda Tedder ~

 I love to punch
(hook, stitch, repeat…)
I am all over the place ~ but loving it!

holly leaves & mistletoe

 my "nest" is where you'll find me today ~
punching...
and
listening to classical music on the public radio station,
and the tympani accompaniment from the rain on our tin-roof…

cozy

With my chair being situated near a south-facing window,
I get great light even on a dull day ~
{{my Ott lamp lends a hand too.}}

punch punch punch

here's how I store my floss for punching:
it's actually a storage box for photographs ~
found in the scrapbooking aisle of Michaels Craft store
(and of course purchased with my 50%-off coupon!)

it comes with all of the little boxes inside,
~ which are thee perfect size to hold my DMC skeins ~

i used a black sharpie to write the floss colors by hue on the separate boxes ~
blues, greens, yellows, etc….oh yeah, and "stuff" too ;)
I try to be neat
{really I do}
but
when in the throes of a punching-frenzy ~
there is simply
no such thing as tidiness….

a jumble of greens

... the lid closes tightly and has a handle so it travels well too.

ready to go?

nope, we're not traveling today ~
work work work.
punch
punch
punch
:)

the From our Hands and Hearts show will be here before we know it ~
I want to make sure I have lots of good & needful things to offer my friends who will visit the show.

looks like my wool-worms are beginning to crawl out of their basket ~

Hoping you all have a wonderful day filled with peace and creativity ~

* Blessed be *

I am impressed to see how you organize your threads. I am ashamed to say mine are all over the place and of course in a heap!(the box they were in loose fell over)I want to get the box you have and make it my resolution to clean up the mess. Is it from Michael's?
