Oh Connecticut ~

Hello Folks!

Oh what a feeling it is to be back 'home'
{home is where your heart is}

Hannah & I arrived on Sunday evening
~ after a pleasant drive up from CT...

We are enjoying the beautiful sunny & cooler weather,
although this evening (tuesday) it will become more humid.

We went to the beach last night,
...ate lobster rolls for supper and collected sea glass from the shoreline...

This morning,
we woke up at my Mom's house to another beautiful day
and thought I would share her clematis vine with you:

pretty purple

these grow in the back yard of mom's house

...and you might remember from my postings last year,
how Mom feeds the squirrels in her neighborhood?
yep...they love her ~
~ we love them :)

here is another little white squirrel that plays in her backyard
~ near the stone walls where I grew up...

h e l l o!
 too cute ~
eating a beech nut he found....

bottle-brush tail :)

I guess he wore himself out playing & eating,
because the scampered over to the deck in the back and layer flat-out in the sunshine!

he stretched, he yawned ~
... his little eyelids became heavy...

tiny-toes
we threw some pizza crusts out for him after a bit,
he gathered them up and off he went ~

see you later!!!!!

We'll be heading up to Guilford, CT on Thursday to visit Peter's side of the family ~
Don't forget to come and visit with me at my book signing on friday!!!

* Blessed be *
Lori

Great photos, as always. That white squirrel is really unique. We saw one in our yard a few years ago. Hope your trip is wonderful!

Lori, it sounds wonderful! Stonewalls, beautiful purple clematis, lobster rolls and gathering beach glass...sounds like Heaven! Have many more wonderful times and bring home goodies and pictures! I don't remember ever seeing a white squirrel, he's so cute sprawled out on the deck...Wow!

Thanks for sharing! :-)

Love the white squirrels in that area. I'm not too far from there, but I have never seen a white squirrel here!

I can honestly say this is the first time I have seen a white squirrel. Here in north Florida we have a large grey and black squirrel that looks like a monkey. You are always surprised the first time you see one.

My 90-year-old mom gets so frustrated when Dad goes out to feed the birds and then throws seed on the ground for the squirrels. She likes birds better.

I saw a white squirrel many many years ago on my way to work. He/she was in our neighborhood. Saw it again the next morning, but never again after that. I have, however, had a black squirrel coming around my deck for the past two years! That excites me - but to me tho, the white ones are even more exciting!
