Up-cycling & Friendship ~

I have been toting my paper-cutting supplies around in this cardboard box since…
well, the postal label on the box reads 2008 ~ so, since then.

I kept is because it's a sturdy little thing with a surprise inside:

...a pretty botanical interior!
so I was thinking…why not cover this to make it a bit more pretty to match the inside?

brown & cream

so I chose this cotton fabric to cover the box with…
((I think it works well with the print inside, don't you?))

got out the trusty Mod Podge and slathered-away...

here's how my little box looks now ~
all gussied up with it's new floral dress:

perfect box to keep my needful things ~

scissors, paper and works-in-progress now have a prettier place to rest ~
I love little boxes!

  Speaking of little boxes,
I forgot to share this with you ~
...a child's sized standing sewing box in thee perfect blue paint!!
((it was a birthday gift from Joan ))

S W OOOO N
tiny little thing just waiting to be filled up! ha!!!

...it now lives right here next to my sewing chair.
I absolutely adore it.

Thank you dear Friend Joan ~ tis perfect!

Love e fabric covered box! I have an old sneaker box covered with fabric that I use for my DMC threads. It must be nearly 20 years old! The kittens (from the previous post) are just adorable. So you will keep them all, including momma Minew? That is so sweet.

We had hoped to come to see you and Peter and kittens and all the critters, today. We're both down with very nasty congestion and colds! Maybe springing forward into Spring will help. At least I've got my hookin'.
Love your sweet box. Hope to see you all soon.
