Another Punched Finish ~

Good Sunday Morning Friends & Folk!

...here is the punched finish of
'Honey Girl'

I really like how this turned out ~
perfect colors!

I chose a charcoal/grey for the background for this design…
black would have been too dark and would wash-out the colors:

needle down!

I punched the stripes on her skirt at various heights.
nice dimensional effect I think ~

feeling loopy

I did the same for the 'ground' under the flowerpot….
and I made a little french knot for her eye ~

...after punching,
I went back in & embroidered a tiny smile on her face :)

happy floating honey-girl

this is a good size design,
measuring in at approx. 6" x 7 1/4"

not sure how I will 'finish' this one,
I'm always thinking of unconventional ways to use my finished designs
but I'll be sure to share it with you!

I am now punching
'Spring Cleaning'
that little broom apron I told you about…

stained and ready for the final finish

needle punching makes me happy ~ it's by far my mist favorite form of needlework to do.
and finishing a punched project makes me even happier
especially when I see my results come to life on my frame...

Speaking of happiness ~
I 'caught' Iggy rolling in the sunshine yesterday morning…

goofball

oh, hey Ig ~
didn't mean to disturb you…

'wha…?'
back to rolling & soaking up the rays ~

get it while you can Igmeister...

for today we are expecting 6" - 8" of
S N O W

'Mom…did you say the "S" word?'
...wow, he's giving me 'that' look…

Have a beautiful Sunday my Friends~

* Blessed be *

Another wonderful design!
LOVE the pics of Iggy. Isn't it amazing how the animals gravitate towards a little patch of sun?
Happy Sunday! The good thing about a March snow is that it doesn't stick around for too long!
Hugs :)

I'd really like to punch this design! Or even hook it, with your permission, of course. Love the pics of Iggy. If you look at my facebook entry, you'll see how our animals are spending this pre-snow morning!

Lovely design, Lori. I have been practicing my needle punch, and you are right, with practice it does get easier! The weavers cloth which I ordered from you arrived yesterday, and I might just attempt "Bittersweet" from your book. I am sorry about the snow, however. Good stitching weather.

Like her lots...she reminds me of Spring. Doubt we'll see Spring soon since it's snowing like crazy right now.

Glad Iggy is enjoying the sun. Is He the Daddy?

Hi Lori!
I received my Hookinpunch frame yesterday...love it! Peter is so talented! You can see it on my today's post.

Anxious to see the needlepunch broom apron...I made your Wellswept Farm cover last year and it sold right away!
Cute pictures of Iggy! :-)
