Congratulations Elena! I love the pumpkin! It is so cute! All of the entries are beautiful and I waited excitedly to see them! It was like waiting for presents on Christmas morning! Thank you so much Lori for this charming Halloween chart and hosting this challenge. Ironically, I had two ideas for this chart. The one I didn't use would have been stitched on a dark pumpkin linen in all black and it would have had a blackbird pincushion with a tiny JOL in his mouth. The only reason I didn't go with this one- I figured I had a better chance drawing a pattern for candy corn than a crow! lol I loved picking out fabrics (linen- baby's breath- chosen because it is a pale orange color), threads, trims, even figuring a pattern for a pumpkin pincushion with buttons stacked for a candy corn top and a candy corn "strawberry". I had some white/orange twist twine and added yellow Sharpie so it would match! I wanted the finish to be reminiscent of a walk through the woods in fall with the fallen leaves print fabric as base for the pumpkin and a sweet gum ball pom-pom trim. I finally got to use my black "mourning pins"- YEA! So this is most of my journey this darling chart. It has been an absolute joy! Thank you again Lori!
