{ Sunday Stills }

I was taking a few random shots this morning,
and was in our pantry taking snaps of the glass oil lamps and old bottles
that sit on a small windowsill in there...
so pretty.

then I realized what I was seeing beyond the window ~
can you see them?

here are better pics of my visitors ~

mama & baby

...they come to the back of the farmhouse
where the salt from our water softener empties out ~
it's their very own personal salt-lick!

so sweet ~ love baby's spots,
dots and racing stripes...

buh-bye baby

don't worry mama,
you're both safe here!

after they finished getting their daily sodium intake,
I waited till they left then headed out to the garden:

ruff-ly little marigolds

leggy chocolate mint in my old urn
oh yes ~ there are plenty of weeds...
they don't bother me at all.

happy morning glories

a spent black eyed suzy

oh those colors!!!

pumpkin vines and boxwood

pumpkin & holly (and more weeds)
 and this:

my very favorite calla lily

she graces my garden ~ is she not beautiful?

a regal guest in our humble garden

morning glory's near the outhouse ~

Hoping you all have a beautiful,
relaxing Sunday spent with those who love you most ~

The deer are so sweet so glad they didn't find your lovely gardens.

Our neighbor has a crabapple tree that attracts the deer. Yesterday, we saw a mama doe, an aunty and twin fawns. They do munch on some of my flowers, but I love seeing them!

Oh Lori I love my deer too. They are so agile and beautiful. During drought, summer and into early winter I keep a bucket filled with water for my lovely rsidents. I used to keep a salt lick until I learned from local people that fawns under a year can dye from the salt as it is tasty and they could take in too much. So I just give them water. Sounds like you have the perfect system for them. Good for you and GOOD for them too.

I have really enjoyed your garden photos! The guests are cute but they can mess up a garden. I have only a few favorite roses. One morning I came out and they were all eaten!!

Beautiful photos Lori! Love the doe ad fawn, the lantern glass, the black eyed susans and the calla lily-at first I thought it was a jack in the pulpit.

Oh what fun and pretty back yard guests you have! They are so sweet, I just love to watch them. I think that's cute they found where your salt empties out.

Gorgeous flowers too. You reminded me that a friend gave me marigold seeds, oops haha! I've been thinking about trying my hand at morning glories, yours are beautiful!

I enjoyed my visit to your farm. Thanks Lori~
