{ Stitching Along....}

really, I AM stitching!
it's just that the past few days
we've had a brief spell of cooler temps
and less humidity...
so I am actually in the progress of cleaning the farmhouse ~

here is (one of ) my favorite place to stitch...
it's an old wingback chair in my keeping room:

bright and comfy

the morning sun coming around ~
old feedsack on the back of my chair
and feather-filled ticking pillow
for my back...

love my old farmhouse
 and here is proof that I am actually stitching:

see? almost finished...

~~~~~~~~~~~~
happy little stitches
love their expressions :)
their treat bucket looks confused though! ha!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 and
even though I must own at least 100 pincushions
in all shapes, sizes and ages ~
...this is the one I love the most:

plain & simple

 I think it's actually the 'inards' of a pincushion ~
looks like it might have had a fancier covering at one time.
I like it just the way it is.
floppy and filled with little silver pins....

I keep a pair of small vintage children's scissors pinned on to it by a big old safetypin.
always handy when I need them....
Felicia is almost finished with
"Widow's Weeds"
and then Peter & I will put it in a frame specially designed for that design.

I am hoping for a Sunday release of all 5 of the new designs!!!
woohoo!

have a beautiful day my Friends~

Thanks for sharing your farmhouse! It seems very cozy.

I love the owls, and the treat bucket's expression is priceless! Can't wait for the patterns to become available.

I love your stitching corner, it looks so inviting! Is that an antique wool-winder that I see?

yes it is ~ known as a niddy-noddy or weasel...it winds the yarn and 'pops' when it has come full-circle 'round...that's where the song 'Pop goes the weasel' springs from!
