{ I've been framed! }

SO Excited to share this with you!

here is the frame that will be available to hold your finished
"Reverend Gourdon Squashbottom" design ~
our "Folk Art Sun" colonial-inspired frame:

Peter & I thought something 'different' would be the best way to showcase
'the Rev' and we think this fits him perfectly!

The Sun motif reminds me of something that might be found on an antique fraternal piece,
 such as a plaque or sign ~ the shape of the pediment is strictly primitive.

the Gold paint is 24k gold paint that I use sparingly, but had to use it to accent this frame...

...what do you think?

Peter made the frame from my design out of our home grown & hand milled Poplar wood...
I hand painted, distressed and waxed the frame with a nice rub of beeswax to seal & protect it...

close-up of the Sun motif shows where I applied wear to replicate an antique frame....
Peter added a drilled hole to hang from!
 The frame measures approx. 14 1/4" wide x 15 1/2" high to the very top ~
the inside dimensions measure approx. 11 1/2" wide x 9 1/2" high

watching me photograph the 'Rev' outside this morning ~
