{ it's all relative...}

Hannah is home for a couple of days with us...
I love when she is home with me ~ she brings laughter & light into this farmhouse!!
{{I miss her when she is away at college.}}

while she's here, she wanted a refresher course on embroidery ~
...she wants to offer some finished items in her new etsy shop:
and also cozy up her & Skyler's {tiny but beautiful} apartment
with some of her handmade & heartfelt items...

busy hands happy heart

 she's working on a little project that will hang on the outside of their apartment door ~
it is quite sweet with it's scrolling design of florals & script.

soft & vintage

and I love her choice of thread colors...
very vintage-looking.

pretty

... I'm guessing that apples really don't fall far from their trees after all?

here is my WIP ~

awesome little floor stand!

the Reverend is coming along nicely,
and I'm stitching on him every spare minute I get....

love my magnetic needle-minder...hate the look of those thumbtacks, but they work.

~ the stretcher bars and floor stand make it SO easy to work on him!!!
and at least now he'll be wearing some britches....

sorry about the inappropriate needle placement there folks ...lol

and I had to throw in a couple of snaps of my hubby & Mr. Peach ~

kiss kiss?

Mr. Peach visited us out in the shop yesterday, and was thrilled to have met 3 new friends...
Deniese, Evelyn & Martha
drove up from North Carolina to visit the shop ~
I love to have folks visit!!!

we had a somewhat-hot-but-otherwise-wonderful visit...
...we talked, laughed & pondered Life's mysteries ~
we drank sweet tea and pink lemonade and nibbled on homebaked blueberry muffins
and I truly enjoyed their company.
{{{Thank you my friends, for making me feel so comfortable in my own skin xoxoxox}}}

being camera-shy...

 I'll be processing orders today, running some errands and trying to figure out why the
US Postal Service offers us 2-3 day priority shipping,
...and then doesn't hold their end of the bargain.
{another of Life's mysteries}

we may have to start looking for a different way of shipping your orders soon.
perhaps Pinocchio & Daisy would like to bring back Pony (donkey?) Express...
Hmmm....me thinks it might be faster.

Have a wonderful day my Friends ~

Pics of Hubby and Mr. Peach are adorable.

The Rev. is coming along nicely...where did you get such a nice stitching stand?

Hi Lori...

I am considering purchasing that frame...Edmunds Adjustable floor stand...

Do you really like using it/would recommend it?

Thanks!

Hey Lori. I love Hannah's little design for her door. It will look very sweet and I'm sure it makes you smile to mentor her in the arts you love. Sure hope I get to visit your shop and farmhouse one day soon. Would love to meet you, your man and Mr. Peach too.

Oh, Sweet Lori!

What a mah vo lous time we had with you yesterday! We had planned on an hour or two to visit -- who knew it would be FIVE?? Really??

Delish goodies, so much inspiration, too much to stitch, not enough time, deep ponderings and wild giggles. Yeah. That covers it!

We will be seeing you as soon as you can bear another full day with three crazy ladies! Definitely see you in September for your festival! Already planning our trip!

Many, many thanks for the warm welcome and perfectly memorable day to you, the Hubby, and darling Hannah {and her delightful buddy!}

Give Mr. Peach a smooch for me??

Warmly,

M

Your blog always inspires me. I love visiting with you and wish I lived close enough to do it in person.
