It's Springing!!!

it really is!
today it surely feels like Winter is behind us now...
beautiful blue-skies, warm(er) temps & full-on sunshine blessed us today here at the farm.

I hung some of our old quilts outside to air ~
sew pretty....

airing quilts in the herb garden

my rocker, patiently waiting for me and a glass of sweet tea

more quilts freshen up in the sunshine & clean air ~

my collection of antique ironing boards stands on the shop's porch near our old green wringer/washer

inside the shop we are preparing for Spring, too ~
little by little....

lightening up with tulips and farmhouse goodies...

forsythia and statice in an old flower basket ~

I moved this big white standing wooden box nearer to the cutting counter...
it is actually a zinc-lined cooler, complete with original Coca Cola bottle opener attached to one side.

It holds nicely our bolts of utility fabrics like osnaburg,
muslin, rug linen, weavers cloth, stitching linen and burlap....

love the chipping white paint on this piece, the original paint underneath the white is a superb salmon-color!

a picture of some of our finished OLD as Dirt Primitives wooden-wares line....

and a closer shot of the same.

the little doll on the small blue chair below, was made by the talented
 Diane Apperson of
Tallowberry Primitives

she holds little sewing strawberries!
we had a nice day in the shop today,
thanks to Jane, Joan & Vickie for visiting with me :)

I will share pics of my rug progress with you tomorrow!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, my Friends ~
take advantage of this sunshine!
