trip to the Big City....

Good Evening Friends & Folk ~
\had a beautiful visit with Hannah today on the VCU campus in Richmond, VA...
perfect Fall weather for a visit to the big city !!

we took her shopping to Target, then bought her something
she has been wanting since she left for college...
a fish.

you have to remember that my girl was raised with ALL kinds of animal friends~
and she is not happy unless she has 'somebody' to look after and love.
We thought a goldfish at first, but the girl at Petsmart thought a Betta would be a better choice for a small dorm room and even smaller fishbowl.
so, a Betta it was....and he is a pretty boy...silver, blue with a red tail and gills.
oh...and she named him....
um....
"Finn"
(that's my girl) hahaha :)

When we got home from the Big City these were waiting for me in our mailbox:
my subscription of the S&A Needlwork mag, and a little book on samplers I bought from Amazon.
can't wait to read them both, but that will have to wait...
I like to read my books and mags when the time is just right...you know how that is, I'm sure.

I'll be in the shop tomorrow ~
cutting the NEW batch of Reproduction Civil War Era Fabric that was just delivered, into fat 1/4's...
and working on more goodes for our Christmas Open House on December 1st
stop in and say hello if you're in the neighborhood!
Blessings from Notforgotten Farm...

Loved your post. My daughter also goes to VCU. I work in Richmond. It made me laugh when you called Richmond the big city. Funny what's big to some people is small to others. Richmond does have some beautiful old buildings. If you ever get a chance check out some of them down by MCV.
