Christmastide Hanging Huswife finish ~

...here are a few snaps of my finished project-as-of-late ~
very plain, very primitive & simple looking and I love it!
a simple design & finish ~
 notice my stitching?
(not the actual cross stitching)
but the 'finishing' stitches...

I am neat with my stitches, pretty even, but my stitches are big, not tiny at all ~
a small pocket on the back holds a pair of tiny early scissors...
I had a hard time choosing which pair to slip in for the photos!

loving this old look ~

the crinkle ribbon in a perfect shade of green
~ compliments the thread colors perfectly ~

the thread rings are crudely stitched on using dmc 611 ~ so primitive!

here's a better photo of the back of the finished project ~
this is the true color of that beautiful velvet...isn't it beautiful?

should I add a little pincushion to the back?

I'm undecided if I should add a little pincushion to the back ~
perhaps another little slice of velvet, but more stained?
what do you all think????

This design will be available in pattern and/or kit form soon
(KITS WILL NOT INCLUDE THE VELVET)
kits WILL include threads and linen ~
I will be picking up one of three models that Miss Flea is working on for me ~
this one is called "Tinsel Towne" and I can't wait to start the finish on that one for you all to see!!

COLD here this morning, my kitties, Black Suzy (16 yrs old)
and Mr. Ignatious Katt (Iggy, who is a little over a yr old)
have been sleeping on my head at night, trying to suck the heat out of me ~
(((((the only time a hot flash is welcomed....)))))

little Toby is growing well, he is actually bigger now than his siblings out in the barn...
everyday i bring him outside for fresh air & sunshine,...he runs around like a nut,
chasing the fallen leaves and trying to catch the small flies he thinks he's seeing....
I'll share pics of him soon!!!

Have a beautiful Monday my Friends....

Blessings from Notforgotten Farm...

Dear Lori, Your Christmastide huswife is beautiful! I love the sweet angels and their delicate wings! The tree is lovely and your stitches are perfect! I love the velvet on the back and the pocket to hold your scissors. Yes, I would definitely add a little pincushion too! Love the thread hangers and ribbon. I look forward to the pattern and kits! My doggies sleep right next to me, it is so sweet! They do like to keep warm and cozy. I am glad to hear Toby is doing well and having fun in the great outdoors. Have a beautiful Monday too! Love and blessings, Paula

Of course I love it just the way that it is! A little needle cushion or tab on the back would also be sweet!
You are an inspiration!
