Tomatoes, strawberries, a boy & his dog...

Hi folks!
what a beautiful day it has been here today...sunny, breezey & warm.
perfect day to create a few new goodies for this coming saturday's
Spring Open House!

I made these tomato & strawberry pincushions from old red mohair & green wool ~

I stuffed them with sawdust, stained them
...and spiced them up with cinnamon before baking them a bit...

I think they look swell in this old basket,
...displayed next to my old gardening hat, don't you?

Tomorrow I'll be making bees, a couple of rabbits
...and who-knows-what else!

and i just had to share a couple of pics of Peter & Buddy...
they share a special bond and love each other so much ~
and we can certainly see that!!

just hangin' out with each other...
enjoying the sunshine :)

Buddy's such a little guy, isn't he?

Just Dad & Me....

...our gentle giant & fierce protector, Lazy's Best Friend
and Pete's faithful companion...

aren't we blessed that animals choose to love us at all?
never judging, always happy to see us and be with us.

I know we're blessed to have them in our lives, and couldn't imagine
not having their company and friendship in our lives...

Hoping that you all have a furry-someone
who thinks you're the most awesome thing ever!

Blessings from the Farm!
Lori

Oh Lori, I love the tomatoes & strawberries, they are delightful! I love the smell of sawdust (that's from being raised in a woodshop) and cinnamon. Mmm... I can just smell them now.

Holy Moly, your little fur baby looks like a lion, lol! Cute pics of a boy and his dog =]

Have an awesome week, sweet friend~

I LOVE when you post about Buddy, if only I could have one that wonderful. I had a smaller version, Bouvier and it was just like that, my best friend.
You are right when you are picked to love the furry angels! Just love him to bits.

Love the fuzzy little tomatoes. Nice job. Cute pics of Buddy and the Man. I love the love we receive from our animals; so deep and unconditional.

Awwww. I love seeing pics of your fur babies!! You are so right about the unconditional love- quite unlike most of us humans. Certainly many good lessons to learn from our fuzzy friends. :-)
Love the berries. I so wish I could head your way Saturday! xxoo

What a dog! My vote for the next pooch this family brings home is a Great Pyreneese. Such faithful, protective, wonderful dogs! Our current pooch is a German Shepherd mix...and she's aging. I'm not looking forward to my youngest son having to say goodbye to our dog when she goes. =(

It was so heartwarming when I stumbled upon your blog and saw the pics of Peter and Buddy. You can see how much they love each other. He is the most gorgeous dog I think I've seen. What kind of dog is he? I love animals. I have a Schnoodle and she is so loved. Our pets bring us such comfort and love. Thank you for sharing these wonderful pictures. Your berries are awesome!!
Blessings, Linda
