Comfy & Snug ~ and Needful Things...

Here is Suzy ~
Snug as a Bug in a Rug
next to woodstove in the Keeping Room.

she looks so comfy, doesn't she?
and isnt' she shiny? she has always had a beautiful coat...
can you believe she is 15 yrs young??
my baby, constant companion & shadow.
and Miss Joan & I went out today ~
we went shopping at Cottonwood in Charlottesville, VA ~
because, well...you know...
I NEEDED fabric. (really?)
no. not really.
I just suffer from the same addiction as most of you reading this ~
I just have to have it around to look at. & fondle. is that weird?

but I mean, LOOK at it...
blues, browns, cheddars...
~ black, more brown & blue ~
....always civil war repro's ~ always inspirational ~ always needed ~ right?

and I also bought this book by Renee Plains...
I'm sure you have all seen it, but if you haven't it's a goody.
and the sweet Red Basket that holds it all came from my friend Beth's shop,
Bittersweet Branch Primitives
(www.facebook.com/bittersweetbranchprimitives)
her shop is a delight, full of charm & whimsy ~
unique items & Good Things and Beth has thee greenest thumb ~
her shop is located at
71 River Road
Faber, VA 22938
if you get a chance to stop, do ~ tell Beth I sent you!
Well, I am off to stitch...
I am working on the Susannah Hoffer Marking Sampler,
and some models for upcoming classes here at the farm...
I'll be posting the class schedule tomorrow ~

Have a wonderful evening folks!
blessings from the farm,
Lori

Love that braided rug! I just took a class on how to do that yesterday and I love all the "hit and miss" colors. Sweet kitty too.

Ahhh, I love the look of that comfy cozy fireplace with Suzy kitty relaxing all stretched out. She is a beauty :o)
I need to go snooping through my fabrics for florals so I can create some Spring Easter goodies.

I looove your cat Suzy...and isn't it fun how they just 'love' you and 'need' you unconditionally ... I have one that is my shadow as well...

I have a passion for fabric...and the colors you bought are wonderful.

Blessings,
Karen

Hi, Lori:
Suzy looks just like our boy Biggie.
And he's super shiny, too. I like your fabric colors. I'm sure you'll come up with something fabulous made from them.
Hugs,
Susan

Yummy new fabrics, I can see why you had to have them...I'm working hard at no buy this year...good thing a dear friend sent me a gift certificate to a quilt shop ;->

Your sweet Suzy reminds me of my Riley kitty who is no longer with us. He used to lay on the rug by our fireplace..speaking of rugs, no wonder Suzy likes laying on it...its gorgeous! Take care and stay warm, Janice
