a Simple Summer's Day ~

Hi folks...
thought I'd share a couple of pretty pics with you
from around the Farm:

...

my poor, but beautiful coneflower...
it's little petals singed from the hot sun ~

a tired little concrete Angel, waits for rain to fill her basin...

my Beauty Berry Bush, a gift from friend Jane ~
bursting with soon-to-be royal purple berries...

a handpainted sign on the shop's twig rocker...

an early-blooming Mum, that too has been touched by the Summer's sun...

a sweet hand-made & antique iron sign, gifted from friends Lee & Robin...

good company & a gentle spirit, my little Daisy-girl...

Somehow, August crept up on me...
I think because I've spent most of July in the farmhouse in the AC!!!

ahhh...soon the cool nights will return.

Blessings from the Farm...
Lori

So glad your beauty berry is blooming. Mine is loaded, too. The mockingbirds and cardinals will love us when those cool nights finally get here!

I don't think I've ever seen flowers scorched like that. Yikes. You've captured the quiet brutality of the heat in your wonderfully - and beautifully - in your photos...Scratch Daisy's ears for me...what a sweetie....Wishing you cool breezes and gentle rains....Smiles & Hugs ~ Robin
