Coming Soon ~

please join the members of
Early Work Mercantile

on September 1st & 15th for...

I'm proud to be a member of this online source for
QUALITY primitive folk art & needful handmades ~

I'm already working on my Sept. 1st offerings!!!

yesterday I was weeding the garden with Peter ~
we both wear sprigs of mint in our straw hats
to keep those pesky little bugs away from our eyes & faces...
so much mint, in fact, that we look like creatures that live in the underbrush somewhere!!!
we even scared the dogs! hahaha!!!

...it got too hot for me in the full sun,
so I came in to dye some linen for the
Samplermakers
Autumn Stitcher's Challenge ~
I will put needle & thread to linen this aft & eve
and see what appears from the suggested motifs
...given for the challenge by Jenny Lynn .

Speaking of Jenny Lynn,
go visit her blog to see her new sampler.

it is so pretty & olde looking ~

I'll share the progress of my challenge piece as soon as I have some to share!

Blessings from the Farm...

Thanks for the shout out, Lori :)

Any tips on hand dying linen? I've tried with both walnut stain and coffee stain but can never get a mottled look. It always comes out a uniform color and where's the fun in that?
