FINISHED!!!!!!

Good Morning Friends & Folk ~

the models for my three new designs are finished, and the patterns are ready to go!
we are also proud to offer you, our first-ever Primitive Frames from Notforgotten Farm....
the two frames shown below are made specifically for the two samplers...

first, is
Salem Village

the model was stitched by Felicia Martin
onto 40 ct Parchment Linen from Week's Dye Works...
the mostifs include 2 black iron urns, bittersweet vines, moon & stars,

trees, a wagon, pumpkins,

8 houses, and the verse
"1692 - Keep them in your memory"

it uses all DMC threads and the model was stitched
using 1 strand over two threads~

the approximate finished size is 11 3/4" x 14 3/4"
not including the frame...

the FRAME is made from ancient Fir, from the oldest house on our property
the top shows a Tulip motif ~ the sides of the frame are 2" wide...
we chose to simply stain & wax the frame to keep the integrity of the wood....
handmade one at a time by Peter .
SALEM VILLAGE pattern $10.00 + shipping
Handmade TULIP FRAME $125.00 + shipping

Here is
Witches Garden Sampler

model stitched by yours truly onto 40 hand dyed linen (by me)
it measures approx. 10 1/2" x 13"
and was stitched one over two using all DMC threads....

the motifs include:
a partial alphabet, words representing magical herbs,
3 different borders,

an hourglass, shovel, rake, potted weeds,
iron crosses, headstones, grave crosses, a ladderback chair,
a crow, a field-house and a fence, assorted snakes,
a willow tree, a coffined-Ladye and the date ~ 1751.
the verses read:
"grow ye well in thy garden, sit a spell in my garden...
till and toil, tend thy soil
"
&
"As this body too must die & my
mortal frame decay,
so must these nimble hands of mine
lie mouldering in the clay
"

it too, is shown in our own frame made from the same ancient Fir from a decaying old house on our property...simply stained and waxed to show the character of the beautiful wood grain...

and an understated Tombstone-shape tops this one...sides of frame are 2" wide.
The fabulous frame was handmade by my hubby, Peter...

a smaller undertaking:
Cross Eyed Cat

model stitched by Felicia Martin
using DMC threads on 28ct. hand dyed Cashel linen...
it measures approx. 7" x 15", was stitched 2 over two and is shown framed in an antique frame.

the verse reads:
"Eye of newt, wing of bat
thirteen whiskers from a cross eyed cat
"
