Scary ~

first, let me say that our hearts go out to all of the folks in Missouri this morning,

we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers...

last night we had a crazy storm come through our part or Virginia ~
the lightening was SO bad you could feel the electricity in the air!

it struck one of our Tulip Poplars:

thankfully missing the transformer and hay wagon...

the winds were howling & I thought the windows of this old farmhouse would

surely come crashing in...but again, thankfully, they didn't.

the top of the tree fell and missed our propane tanks
by about 10 feet, so we feel fortunate there again too!

hoping everyone is safe and please keep the faith for those in Missouri
(Hannah was there last week and are we EVER thankful she's home now!)

Blessings from the Farm...
Lori

Glad you didn't have more damage, Lori. The storms have been horrible. We had a tornado (that we could see from our backyard) hit a town about 30 mins from us. The town of 250 is pretty much total destruction. There was one death, several injuries and so many folks homeless now. The storm in Joplin is just horrible... and my heart aches for all affected. Thoughts and prayers for all!

I saw the destruction on the news, I cannot imagine living in those areas, very scary. Glad you and hannah are ok, lightening can be bad when it gets like that.

Sounds like your angels pushed that falling tree to the safest spot. An F5 just misssed our house 25 years ago, but took our best friend and many others. You never forget the sound and the surreal sight of the destruction. Glad you are safe!

HI Lori, wow what a scare. I saw the news and felt my heart skip a beat. This storm was so dangerous and I'm so glad you are ok. I know I don't post or comment much to you but I really enjoy your blog. It is wonderful.
Blessings,
Debbie

Glad to hear you didn't have a lot more damage than you did.
The storms were kinda of scary yesterday here in WI. We had one after the other. Clouds are still hanging around today ~ Yep more rain.
Stay Safe my Friend.

So glad everything is okay...how thankful you must be! I lost my home in a tornado when I was a teenager & all of these storms take me back & make me so sick inside. ~Kriss~
