Planting Happiness ~

I often get asked,

"where do you get your energy?"... "do you sleep?" or "how do you get everything done?"

well, I don't have a secret potion ~ but good living, good friends and family and a generally Happy Attitude

can help you accomplish alot...

now don't get me wrong ~

I have my moments...I can be as cranky as the next late 40-ish, menopausal woman dealing with bills, work and a teenager...

but I think how we cope has alot to do with being truly happy...

I have things I have GOT to do... laundry, farm chores, bill paying...the sometimes stressful things that if you're not careful can overcome you & drag you down...

BUT you have to find time to do something for just YOU

that makes you happy, and carry that with you everyday....

we all know that I love to sew & stitch ...and do practically any type of handwork that involves needle & thread~

before I sit down with project-in-hand, I make sure that all of the Got-To-Do's are Done.

(God permits industrious Angels afternoons to play!!)

making time for something I love helps me to reap much Happiness...

We reap what we sow...or in this case, SEW. Plant your Own Happiness!!!

(the work-in-progress shown above, is aptly called the same and I'll have more pics soon!)

Blessings from the Farm... Lori

It IS all about positive attitudes!! That's one of the reasons I like to visit Notforgotten Farm. My stitchin' always gets me through a dark day.
I can't say it too many times.....THANKS!

I totally agree that you need to take time for yourself. When you do you are more relaxed and better to be around.
I enjoy your little farm, it brings me great job to read about.

Thats a great attitude to have! Even with an almost 3 yr old, I try to find a few moments in my day for myself...and when I do, it works wonders :) ~Jeanne~

Like your advise. But I'm the most unorganized person. Is there a class I can take for this? My house is a mess and I have craft projects all over the place. I feel like I'm getting no where. I guess I should start with my chores first.
Thanks for sharing!
Can't wait to see your finished project!

I agree. Work hard, then relax and enjoy the personal time to explore a more creative side. That's what keeps me going!
Cheers!

Sew true, except for feeding of my animals not all daily chores get done before the stitching starts, there are those days i go straight for the sewing room.... my angels are okay with that...
