My Farmhouse Kitchen Update ~

Good Morning Folks!
thought I would show you the fanric that I've picked for the kitchen...
um...cabinets? or where the lower cabinet doors would be, I guess....
in the pic below, you can see the brown homespun that is there now...

and the green spice cupboard that was my 'inspiration' piece...

I thought the new homespun fabric
...in pale green/brown/yellow/cream
works well, don't you?

it picks up other colors in the kitchen, and goes well with red ~
the accent color that I'm choosing...

plus, it reminds me of Spring
and will carry me through the Summer months
....and into next Christmas as well
(I can't believe I said that ~ don't even want to THINK about that right now!)

ANYhoo...let me know what you think...
I'll sew them up this weekend and show you finished pics.
AND
I still haven't decided what to do with my backsplash yet,
... but I am leaning towards the white ceiling tins
who knows what I'll end up with?
:)
Have a great day, filled with all things creative!
Blessings from the Farm...

Lori

Hi Lori! I think it looks great and that is the direction I would have choose to go in also. I think it matches beautifully! You mentioned white tiles for the backsplash? Where are you going to find those? I would love to find some to do a ceiling with but dont want to pay a arm and a leg for them.

I will be on the hunt for the white tin ceiling tiles...there are a few places here in VA that might have them, and if they do I'll let everyone know where to get them! *wish me luck*

Love the fabric you picked! Just what I need for some valances for my windows as my woodwork is a greenish grey with the log walls.

Love the new fabric you purchased, I just made to sink skirts out of some nice burlap found at Jo Ann's Fabric, I loved how the texture added a look to my kitchen and bathroom. Looking forward to seeing your changes. HUGS MARY

Wonderful choice of fabric. I can't wait to see your project finished. I like the idea of the white tin ceiling tiles for a backsplash.

Have a great weekend~Becky
