my three amigo's...

Suzy, Tippy & Sam
(or, Smoogee, Mish-Mow & Freckles McGee)

...three fur-people who chose me
a long time ago to be their Momma
and I'm so glad they did...
they bring me joy everyday,
make me laugh with their antics
and
comfort my sorrows...

they sooth my nerves and help keep me warm ~
and never fail to get me up out of my sewing chair
to play a quick game of 'mouse-y'...
and forget about when they are all loopy on our homegrown catnip...
they sleep for hours,
sometimes snoring, sometimes purring ~
always constant as a source of unconditional love.
...their little velvet paws have traced love-letters on my heart
and I am a kinder person because of them.
I have been owned by many cats throughout my years,
and each holds dear memories...
I am thankful for their presence and presents
(the occasional field-mouse left by my slippers)
and wouldn't trade their companionship for all the sardines in the ocean~
Blessings from the farm,
~ Lori ~

While being more of a dog person I too have been touched by cats most of my life. The most recent was our Rosie. She was really my Mom;s cat and I knwo had been missing my Mom since she passed in Dec, 2008. Rosie left us almost three weeks ago and is now with her Mom. But I do miss her. Her purr was the loudest I have ever heard. Maybe one day I will get another but for now my Rory keeps me busy and warms my lap/ :)

Love the photos of your beautiful kitties.
