So crewel....

As a teenager,
I loved to embroider on my jeans, friends jeans & jackets...
I would sit for hours doodling up designs inspired by the latest rock band logo's
or hearts, flowers and unicorns...
(hey, it was the 70's...)
I never really lost my love for emnroidery or crewelwork,
and am happy to say that I will be including it in new patterns and finished goods.

So
... here is a sneak peek of my offering for
January 1st's
Early Work Mercantile
{ www.earlyworkmercantile.com }
a little bit of Colonial Embroidery to
charm away the Winter Blues...
Today
I will be taking Hannah & Skyler, Natalie & Shane
iceskating...
not promising that I won't attempt it,
haven't been on skates in at least a hundred years!
but, growing up in the Northern part of Connecticut,
I've had my share of dealing with ice ~
wish me luck that I don't melt the ice rink with a hellacious Hot flash!
Blessings from the farm,
~ Lori ~

I'm looking forward to see what you offer in the way of patterns! My needlework hobby started with embroidery, and I have some vintage linens that are stamped for embroidery and cross stitch. Stitching some of these are one of my New Year goals.

Sounds cool! Have fun skating. I too my kiddo roller skating yesterday, but didn't skate with him. He had too many buddies there to keep him busy. Oh, but I did want too! Roller skating was my thing in my teens!! :) (not much ice here in Kansas ya know)

Hi Lori,
Wishing you Happy New Year! And I got my calendar yesterday! WOO HOO! LOVE IT!
Thank-you so very much!
I hope along with all the stitching you keep drawing too. Don't forget about us rug hookers!
Have fun and stay upright on the ice today!
Although it will be tempting to lay down on it should the hormones kick into overdrive!
Wishing you a wonderfully inspiring year ahead!
