A Christmas Kitchen....

...on my kitchen counter sets woodstove roasted chestnuts,
JUICY ripe pomegranates
and
my signature
Loaded Hot Chocolate ~

first, boil fresh water
(no microwaving ~ it really doesn't taste the same.)
next, open up a packet of Swiss Miss instant Hot Chocolate with Mini Marshmallows
(and you thought I was going to drag out my double boiler?)
dump the packet into the cup and fill 1/2-way with boiling water...
next, drop in a mini York Peppermint Patty and stir until melted.
now, fill up glass with hot milk
(ok...this you can microwave)
and dollop some wipped cream on top...
to finish,
sprinkle Peppermint Flavored Sugar all over the whipped cream...
(like we use for sugar cookies)
and lastly,
drop in a peppermint stick for a stirrer!!!!!
now, go grab the latest issue of your fav magazine,
or put on your favorite Holiday Movie,

~sit back and enjoy!!

~ Lori ~
p.s.
I am not to be held responsible for ill-fitting clothing,
fits of sugar-induced mania
...or cravings that wake you up at night!

Lori-

The sight of your kitchen counter is just so nostalgic and I realized I need to make my kitchen more homey and warm again - children have flown the nest and I forget about the comfort of simple things like hot chocolate in our lives.

(And the loaded hot chocolate will cause tonight's deviation from my Nutri System schedule - but just for today.....hopefully!)

I have finished my first punch needle piece and am itching to begin on my second. I am amazed how beautiful it looks despite it being a new old craft for me.
