...Saturday Musings ~

Good Morning Folks~
we woke to freezing temps this morning...
everything was sparkly and frosty.

our pumpkins, which right now wear a coat of frost,
will be warmed by candlelight this eve...
they will be carved in the Old Tradition and lit from within.
today marks the day of my sioster Jo's passing, also...
I cannot believe how fast time goes.
please, please make sure you get yearly breast exams,
mammographies and self check regularly.
also, please consider NOT taking any Hormone Replacement Therapy drugs,
as they are linked greatly to Breast Cancer...

if our foremothers in long skirts could endure those hot flashes in August,
then surely we can too in our air-conditioned environs.
Wishing you all a Happy Hallow's Eve tomorrow...
stay safe & don't eat too much candy corn!!
:)

Blessings from the Farm,
Lori

Dear Lori,
Thinking about you on this sad anniversary. It truly is amazing how quickly time goes by and can be very scary if you let yourself dwell on it.

With kind thoughts,
Sandra

Sorry for your loss of a year ago.
Sisters are precious friends.

Cancer is a ugly thing. I myself am a 2 year survivor.

God bless you today.

Sending healing energy. Menopause is a part of life, not a disease. HRT is not the answer. Sweat and be proud!

I agree with the Witch of Stitches. Menopause is just a stage of life. No hormones other than our own!
My thoughts & prayers are with you today. Sorry for your loss.

I can't believe it's been a year already! Thinking of you.
How kind to remind everyone to have a yearly mammogram. I have had some scares but thankfully all has been okay so far.
Happy Halloween to you and your family.

Thanks for the advice Lori. I know it is heartfelt. My doctor advised h-replacement following hysterectomy, but I declined. I figure I am about good as God needs me to be.

Sorry for your loss. Also, please go for a check-up right away if you have any abnormal vaginal bleeding or start bleeding after you think you are in menopause. This happened to me and I went right away and had endometrial cancer. Thank goodness it was caught early and I am doing great for almost 3 years now. No hormones for me either.
