Old Fabric...New Quilt !

I have collected old blue calico's for as long as I care to remember....

I hoard it,
I 'save' it...
I fondle it and fold it
into neat little squares
and pile it into baskets
all over the farmhouse....
but, every-so-often,
I get the urge to stitch up a small quilt...
and this is my result!
I'll bring this along to the show on Saturday...
it's the only one!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Temps are suppsed to reach the high 90's again today...
PLEASE
remember to leave out bowls
of fresh, cool water
for our fur-and-feathered friends
...they need us in times like these...
Stay Cool!!!
Blessings from the Farm,
Lori
p.s.
I like the looks of these new blogger backgrounds...
don't you?
Oh Lori, this is a stunner! I've always been more of an old red collector, but I do so adore the shades of this beauty! When I come across old blues, I'll snag 'em for you and let you know.
DH bumped our birdbath with mower and CRACK, so now DF is mending it, lol.
Have a great time at the show.
Very sweet little quilt. I love the colors.
I have been very good about keeping the bird bath filled with fresh water every day and the birdies are lovin' it ;-)
Pug hugs :)
The quilting bug is biting! I've never tried quilting (unless you count the endless squares I sewed together eons ago and never did anything with)
Someday I'm going to have to learn how to do it long enough to complete one for me.
Yours is absolutely gorgeous!
Thanks for sharing.
