this is a little wool mat that i handstitched from beautiful black and red wools...the simple heart and hand motifs and colors remind me of
the old PA German wool rugs of the late 1800's.

it measures 11 1/2" x 13" and is backed with the same red wool...
i quilted the back and front together with linen thread in a diagonal
direction and then whipped the edges together.
