So Here's the SCOOP!

Hi Friends!
Finally, I have a moment to set down and tell you what has been happening since our return from Tenn. on Saturday...
let me beginn by saying that I had found my sister Jo a beautiful double-wide mobile home to rent almost down the road from me...the home is spacious, clean and surrounded by pastures and woods. a FAR cry from down-town Knoxville for sure...
The landlady & I had spoken about the fact that Jo has pets, and she said they would be allowed in the rental home. great!...
welllll.....
on Monday morning, the landlasy came to the rental, and told Jo that she changed her mind.
that, NO, she wouldn't be allowing her pets.
now, I don't know about you, but being the anilmal lover that I am, thought this was a rather COLD thing to do to someone...let alone someone who has no place else to go, is in an unfamiliar place, and is terminally ill to boot.
these are her companion animals. her fur-babies. and she would be lost without them.
SOOOoooo, after some harsh words between me and the landlady, we are again in the process of finding a home for my sister Jo, her daughter Emily, and my soon-to-be- nephew-in-law Josh...along with 2 small dogs and 1 old cat.
I just can't believe how ugly people can be. this landlady has been leaving nasty notes taped to the door of the rental, and sends her two daughters over to the place to 'spy'....
...what a mess.
If you know of any homes that are for rent in the Lynchburg VA area, that accepts 3 pets and would like a super tenant, please let me know.
...so that's that.
I'll be getting things listed again on ebay, working on a couple of finished items now (needlepunch) and new xstitch patterns!
drop me a line, let me know what you've all been up to...i feel like i haven't had a normal life in years, but it's only been a couple of weeks!
Thanks for all of your well-wishes!
Blessed be!
Lori

Oh Lori,
I am so sorry! I can believe how some people can be. I have pets myself and since I sold my old home and started renting it has been tough but this is just plain mean. I wish you and your sister and her family (including the furbabies) the very best. I hope all will work out soon.
Blessed Be,

What a rotten way to behave.

I understand being cautious of allowing animals in a rental, because she's probably had to clean up after un-careful tenants before, but to say its okay, then wait until her new tenants are moved in before "Changing" her mind... good grief.

I sure wish I could help out, but there is an entire continent between us! The best to you all.

I'm so sorry to hear that your best laid plans have not worked out. There must be a disturbance in the Force, or something. So many people we know are having "things aren't working out like they're supposed to" issues. It's a little weird. I so hope that Jo finds a comfortable place to be with her fur babies. Events seem to have a way of working out for the best.

Hi Lori!
What a completely horrible thing to do!! I'm a huge animal person (we won't even COUNT how many live here on the farm with us!), and I know how much of a companion they become! I wish you all much luck finding her a new stay!
Hugs,
lisa

Oh Lori ...it never ceases to amaze me just what kind of harshness people can do to one another.. whilst this lady is certainly allowed to decide what to do with her property..it is quite another thing to say YES, then pull the rug from under your feet (an Aussie saying ).. I feel so badly for your sister, and pray that something good comes out of this for her..she surely deserves it (and her fur babies too...LOL)
Blessing to you and yours xxx Tea

Oh Lori I am so sorry that your plans worked out like this, what a horrible and unsensitive person to do this. I do hope you find somewhere soon, wish I could help, but we have a large pond between us. Keep cheerful, maybe this is for the best and something much better will turn up.
